The Hurdy Estates Open-Concept Structural Renovation

The Hurdy Estates is an open-concept structural renovation in North York, Toronto, by Cedarstone Group Inc. Removing a major central load-bearing wall transformed a compartmentalized bungalow into connected kitchen, dining and living spaces, bringing longer sightlines, better daylight and a more practical main-floor layout.

The kitchen combines white skinny-Shaker cabinetry, gold tab pulls and a large black island with a pale veined waterfall countertop. Custom details include a plaster range hood, folding pot filler, concealed appliance garage, full-height storage, plywood drawers and integrated cabinet ventilation.

Throughout the home, new flooring, fresh interior paint and new doors create a coordinated finish. A blue panelled foyer feature wall adds character at the entrance, while rebuilt stairs pair white-oak treads with clear glass railing and dark base channels. Flush Fittes Aria floor vents and carefully detailed hardware complete the interior.
