Scandi Skies: Modern Scandinavian Second-Storey Addition

Scandi Skies is a full second storey addition that transformed a modest bungalow into a light-filled, Scandinavian-inspired modern home. Designed and built by Cedarstone Group, this project showcases our expertise in structural renovations, vertical additions, and precision craftsmanship.

We added an entirely new upper level connected by a custom open-riser staircase that visually anchors the home while allowing natural light to flow between floors. The new second floor includes:

• Two spacious bedrooms with 15-foot vaulted ceilings

• A spa-inspired modern bathroom

• Enhanced insulation and structural reinforcement

• Clean, minimal Scandinavian detailing throughout

Structural & Design Highlights:

This project required advanced structural engineering to support a full vertical expansion. Cedarstone’s team completed:
