Whole Home Transformation & Second Floor Addition

Cedarstone Group Inc. transformed this Scarborough home with a second-storey addition, custom kitchen, renovated bathrooms and coordinated modern interiors.

Completed in 2024, this design-build project combines a whole-home renovation with a second-floor addition in Toronto. The scope includes a complete main-floor remodel, expanded upper-level living space, window replacement and updated mechanical systems.

The custom kitchen brings together light wood-look cabinetry, pale countertops, a central island and stainless steel appliances. Practical storage features include full-height pantry cabinets, pull-out pantry drawers, concealed waste and recycling bins, corner-cabinet organizers, illuminated appliance cupboards and layered drawer storage. Black pendant lights and under-cabinet lighting complete the kitchen renovation.

Two renovated bathrooms provide distinct bathing spaces: a glass-enclosed wet room with a freestanding tub, rain shower and navy double vanity, and a compact bathroom with an alcove tub-shower combination and single vanity. Arched mirrors, gold-tone hardware, recessed shower niches and pale large-format tile coordinate the bathroom finishes.

A modern staircase with glass balustrades, oak handrails and wood treads connects the floors. Updated bedrooms, an upper family area and a bright home office with double French doors continue the interior renovation. Outside, charcoal cladding above the original red brick, a covered front entrance and a wood backyard deck complete the home’s transformation.
